Each subject on the homepage contains two components: a commentary explaining and summarizing each doctrine or truth and Scripture references authenticating each one (organized by subtopic). Scripture Subjects is like having a Subject Bible, Commentary, Topical Concordance, and Scripture Reference Guide in one location.

Primary Focus and Intention:
The primary focus and intention of this website are the Scripture References sections. Although the Commentary portions help explain biblical truths, the Bible verses are “living and active and sharper than any two-edged sword” (Hebrews 4:12). Therefore, since “All Scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness; so that the man of God may be adequate, equipped for every good work” (2 Timothy 3:16-17), these Scripture References sections are the most valuable and will serve the greatest purpose.

Site users are encouraged to study cited verses within their immediate and surrounding contexts in the Bible. God’s Word is always the final authority on all matters. Therefore, all believers should adopt the Berean’s practice spoken of in Acts where they examined the Scriptures daily “to see whether these things were so” (Acts 17:11, NASB), and implement Paul’s instruction to Timothy when he wrote, “Be diligent to present yourself approved to God as a workman who does not need to be ashamed, accurately handling the Word of truth” (2 Timothy 2:15, NASB).

Purpose:

To equip believers to contend for and defend the faith against falsehood.
To arm believers with the power of God’s Word to witness and share the gospel effectively.
To empower believers to teach, instruct, and disciple others according to sound doctrine.
To provide believers with Scriptural support for a variety of Biblical doctrines and truths.
To educate believers in the basic tenants of the faith.
To serve as a valuable resource for believers of all ages and stages of faith.
